What This Section Is About
As I have said elsewhere, I'm not particularly religious. I still go to Church on some occasions, and I'm not even sure I would call myself Mormon anymore. But I do love the Mormon Church and I genuinely believe it is a force for good in the world.
For that reason, I wanted to create this page, to showcase what Mormons believe, and dispell some common misconceptions. I'm always willing to chat. You can message me via gmail: sen.otaku -- Heading: MORMONISM

Mormon Basics
Mormon's don't really have an equivalent of the catechism, but here are some teaching aids given to mormon missionaries, from a text called "Preach My Gospel":
- 3.1 - The Restoration
- 3.2 - The Plan of Salvation
- 3.3 - The Gospel
- 3.4 - Becoming a Disciple of Christ
Section 3.4, Becoming a Disciple of Christ, is broken into a number of parts, explaining various core obligations and beliefs that Mormons have.
Another good reference, though again meant for those who are serving in the church, rather than for those interested in learning, is called the General Handbook.
- 1 - God's Plan
- 2 - Families and the Home
- 3 - The Priesthood
- 25 - Family History and the Temple
- 27 - Temple Ordinances, pt. 1
- 28 - Temple Ordinances, pt. 2
- 38 - Various Church Policies and Beliefs
The Church puts out a lot of material, and this isn't even the half of it! For right now, I'll just give you some references so you can read for yourself. Later I will synthesize these into articles that are actually meant for beginners.
